In our latest research letter, we explore how the sounds of Norway’s coastline tell powerful stories, if we choose to listen. Drawing from our work in tourism, marine biology, and conservation, we contrast a tourism promotional video with an awareness-raising video to show how sound can shape more just and sustainable coastal experiences. It’s a call for inclusive storytelling where local voices, marine life, and natural soundscapes are all part of the narrative.
